I was at the local hobby shop this weekend and someone mentioned that they heard Walthers was coming out with heavyweight passenger cars and also ATSF high-level cars. I'm not really a diehard so I haven't heard anything otherwise. Is there any truth to the rumors?

Well if itis true it will be heavily publicized and horns will be blwon but it will be on back order for a decade then redesigned then re backordered and it will finally be out a year later then it wil be cancelled

We announced the Walthers heavyweights online several weeks ago and on page 11 of the August issue of Model Railroader.
As far as the high-level Santa Fe cars, Walthers hasn't made any announcements but InterMountain showed assembled versions of the Train Station Products cars at a show last year. I don't know whether they still plan on offering those, though. If we learn any more we'll post it in our NMRA show report.
