I know that Shinohara makes the Walthers Code 83 track. Does it match the geometry of their own? The Mac program I'm using for track planning, Empire Express, which is pretty good, doesn't have a library for Walthers and I'm wondering if I can sub the Shinohara library.

You SHOULD be able to sub on
like
products.
Shinohara-made Walthers also has some exclusive products such as #5 switches.
See if you can get the Walthers spec sheet. They used to print it in their catalog.
