A new Bachmann 3 truck Climax, with the factory sound. Love the small geared locomotives.
I need to add to my list, if it is not too late. A Beneteau 46 would be nice but I doubt it would fit under the tree
Well on my list was the Proto 2000 SD60M Burlington Northern #9294. Luckily I was able to find one. It sure is a nice looking unit.

I am hoping to get Supertrees by Scenic Express. I model North Carolina, Virginia, and West Virginia mountain (coal) country and need plenty of trees. I tried the starter set and loved the results.
I would like to have the latest Fine Scale Miniatures kit, but I am not holding my breath. The Supertrees with the flocks and matte medium is going to cost enough.
If I could have my "dream" gift it would be a brass locomotive. I model N&W and Southern Railway in the 1950's. So, an N&W Y6b or Class A would be great. I also like the Southern Railway MS4.

Well, my parents already have the PL42AC frame/drive and decals from Island Model Works, so I know I'm getting that.
Depending on what they set the limit at (because there are a few non-train items I would like and/or need), some track, and maybe some rolling stock if it fits in the money constraints.
Luckily, time won't be a problem for me. I have two research papers, but both are due before before break, so the only forseeable conflict is hockey.

When it comes to Christmas presents my wife and son always struggle to find me something. So when I got into trains it made life easier for them.
This year a couple of dcc uncoulping cars will top the list. Since they no longer believe in Santa I even order what I want but have it shipped to them.

I've been a wise and frugal MR shopper all year. I buy stuff I need when it's on sale, before I really need it and have to buy it full-price. When I see something rare, I buy it. As a result, I've got a big section of pink-foam layout in the train room and shelves of unbuilt kits in the basement. It's time to turn some more of that inventory into models.

Other than a more lucrative part time job to pay for all this I'd like the new Bachmann 3 truck climax and a DCC system.

SPACE!! My 8x15 HO layout is sitting back at moms half finished and I don't know what to do with it since I've moved in with my new girlfriend and she has ZERO space for even a diarama.
At least I've moved, landed a good job and found a hot girlfriend that also enjoys trains. I guess Santa has already brought me more than I deserve.

Thank you for properly identifying THE Holiday as Christmas!
This is my 66th Christmas, and the first one that I honestly don't have any model train stuff on "my list". The under construction HO layout will have the trackwork/wiring done in a couple weeks, and I've got all the locos and rolling stock and structures I want - not to mention all the scenic stuff I stocked up with years ago.
There is one RR related item I would like to have, that being the DVD of "The Train", the WWII movie of the French artworks being hidden on a train avoiding the Germans and capture. It is supposed to be one of the top RR films of all times, and that's enough for me.

Well, I ordered one of the new Digitrax Zephyr-Extra DCC sets for my Thanksgiving present. As far as Christmas goes, who knows, maybe a real expensive HO brass logging locomotive.

Christmas shopping for us is done already.
I made a list, checked it twice, sent it off to the other half in an email with links to the particular items I wanted so there would be no misunderstandings. I sent a list of far more items than I knew Santa would bring me, so there was room for variety.
Among the items:
A couple of Bachmann DCC OnBoard diesels, a Mike, some gondolas, some hoppers, a few other cars besides box cars {though I included a few box cars-most of my rolling stock is boxcars so I wanted something different}, and a few other detail/scenery items.
I know I got some because it went on my CC, but what I got I do not know yet. ALso, we went to exchange something my other half thought I might like that wasn't what it was thought to be so I know I think I got two more RRcars I pointed out at wholesaletrains.com's hobby store when we went to do the exchange. I also got some new clothes that were requested in my size.
SInce the other half is into N scale trains as well I got a GG1 as it was mentioned in March so I quick like a bunny ordered it before Kato was out of them, and got some freight cars to go with it and some passenger cars from a forum member who was kind enough to send along PRR passenger cars to go with teh GG1. I had to order some new truck/couplers to convert the pasengers to knuckles that I am waiting for, though, then I have to try to hide that I am changing them over before xmas.I got the othee half some other things besides trains as well.
The only thing left for xmas is to get a new and larger 3/4" board for the under-the-table-top-tree-layout so that we can run 18R" HO instead of 15R", and run 12.5R" Nscale curves instead of 9.75R" or 11.5R". It will have to be painted white as other half INSISTS it MUST be a "winter wonderland" under the tree. I am not so fond of trying to play with gluing various forms of "snow" and should have bought some model "snow" I saw at the Syracuse train show when I saw it instead of thinking I would remember to buy it on the way out . Will also this year drive in some nails and use florists wire to creat a "fence" so that IDEALLY when the stupid cat gets up there to see the pretty sparkly things on the tree up close that he won't knock the trains off
So all in all, will be a good xmas....now to just pay off the bills....
