cp rail

I am looking for info on the cp rail, I went to kicking horse pass in BC on Canada day and saw a loco go through the spiral tunnels and it was
awesome!!, you could see the train in four different places at the same time as it snaked in and out of the tunnels so I wouldn't mind seeing how much info I could get to model this particular location, actually the rail line in BC is pretty picturesque.

So if anybody out there has some info about the track or who to contact would be appreciated.

thanks

Try: www.acs.ucalgary.ca or www.sowrey.org Also I think there is a schematic on the tunnel somewhere, just type in spiral tunnel C.P.R. good luck.

Yeah, pop it into google

http://www.google.com

If it's not on google, it's not on the internet.

There is also an excellent little book (1/2" thick paperback) titled "The Spiral Tunnels and The Big Hill" by Graeme Pole. Not sure where you'd get it in the US but if you can find it there are good pics, maps, and a train-spotting guide.

Also try Can. Pacific's "Big Hill" by Floyd Yeats or "Can.Pacific in the Selkirks" by Jan Boot & Roger Steed, good detail on the spiral tunnel in both books from BRMNA website is www.brmna.com have fun.
