A chevy lumina HO scale Model?
Posted by Noah Hofrichter on Wednesday, June 30, 2004 4:08 PM
Has anybody ever made a HO scale car model of a Chevy lumina? That's the car We own and since the crew of the local knows us by the car, and then they see us inside, I thought I'd put one on the layout in a symbolic fashion. If not I'll probably eventually kit bash or scratchbuild my own.

The Chevy Lumina hasn't been produced in HO Scale yet.

You could go with a matchbox car for now until you can build one.

Never thought of that. I'll have to look for one now, if they made one at all.

Alas, the matchbox automobiles tend to be 1:64 scale, making them noticably too big for HO layouts (but fine if you just want a standalone model for your desk).
Interesting, the truck models tend more toward HO scale (e.g. the old GMC TopKick cab), and are often used in kitbashing (check out the many photo galleries of the 1/87 vehicle club site http://1-87vehicles.org/
