UP Challenger in town
Posted by Anonymous on Friday, June 25, 2004 10:04 PM
The UP's Challenger has stopped here in Boone IA for the night. I am by no means a UP fan but this engine is frickin HUGE!!! I took some photos of it to share with all of you. It passed by my house when it came into town to cross over the crossover and into the yard. It will be leaving here at 8:oo in the morning and will take some more pics to share. Enjoy!

Here it is stopped and getting ready to back up. The grass is my yard.

Here it is backing up. My daughter and son are on the left. The boy on the right is my son's loud freind. This shot also taken from my yard.

Here it sits in the yard.

Here are my kids standing next to the driver wheels of the Challenger.

Thanks,
Jeremy

wow! If there were tracks in my backyard and something like that showed up I think that either I'd faint or I'd soil myself! (just kidding!)

I got this off of the UP site. It gives the schedule of where the Challenger will be next:

Hey that's funny. If you keep clicking on it it zooms all the way down to street level with the street names. Cool. I just got back from the Kate Shelly high bridge. I'l post some pictures of the challenger going over it when I get them downloaded to my album.
