Sprinklers
Posted by blueriver on Friday, June 25, 2004 3:29 PM
Hi,

While planning my layout I had a question I hope someone can answer.
How would I create HO scale sprinklers in a park or lawn? What type of material could I use to simulate water from the different types of sprinklers, such as rainbirds, spray heads, etc.? I have never seen anything like this done so I don't know where to start. Any tips would be great.
Thanks.

Blueriver,
You might try using small diameter fiber optics. I would suggest you see if your local craft store or hobby shop has any fiber optics to determine if the effect is close to what you envision. One vendor for fiber optics is Fiber Optic Products:

Another is Plastruct:

Try using the Woodland Scenics Water Effects for bigger sprinklers, or use cotton.
