Model Railroader Builds Rollercoaster Model
Posted by Pathfinder on Saturday, August 21, 2010 4:31 PM

This year marks the 100 anniversary of the Pacific National Exhibition (PNE) in Vancouver, BC.

This also marks the completion of Portland Oregon's  Ronald Anderson of his 1/96 version of the wooden rollercoaster.  Some good work done here by a fellow MR, with good press to boot: http://www.vancouversun.com/life/little+model+thrill/3426918/story.html

A photo from the article:

Between 6-7,000 pieces make up the model, made from styrene.  The wood parts are all individually hand painted!

The model will be on display at the PNE this year.  We hope to go, then I will take some pictures if its reasonably accessible.

Well done Mr. Anderson!
