 It was fun to build. I've made the frame at first. Then came the four sides, board by board to the frame work. I cut the boards along the frame timbers when it was dry. The roof is made from a piece brass sheet.

For myself, at least, it did not take too awfullly long for that biffy series to metamorphose from humor to monotony. I, for one, was not unhappy when they finally disappeared.

 Great model.  I loved the biffy articles, drawings, etc. in the old Bulletin.  I still think the years Whit Towers was the editor, were the best.

Wolfgang...Whit Towers (for those who don't recall, the creator of the "biffy" articles and long-running biffy jokes in the NMRA Bulletin, way back when) would love your model! Big Smile

There were decades ago articles in the Bulletin about these cars and outhouses.

To offer more service to the hard working crews at the different building sites I had to build one. I've used stripwood from NorthEastern.
