Does anyone know who makes HO scale trucks that are the bettendorf trucks that have the journal covers removed and show the roller bearings...
There's an example at this website:

It's the 5th truck down...
Maybe I can help, or maybe not. I'm looking at a pair right now. They were made by Roundhouse Products and were called "Convertible Bettendorf Trucks, Friction or Roller Bearing". They are made with the journal box cover plates missing. If you look inside with a good light, you can see the roller bearing detail. They also give you 8 journal box covers which you can install if you want to go back to the friction bearing style for some reason. I don't remember when I bought them, but the price per pair at that time was $4.98.
Unfortunately, I don't know where to tell you to look for them. I believe that I got them at Mainline Hobby near Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, but that's just a guess. I'd like to give you a part number, but of course there is none on the package. The number under the bar code is 7 56510 02921 4 if that helps you out any. I looked under the parts listing for both Athearn and Horizon Hobby and didn't see them listed. You might want to call either Athearn or Horizon and see if they can help you out.
Regards
