Go back to my last visit and read forward to the present.

first entry (only if reminder needed), then my last entry and onward

occasionally I stir the pot for fun and creativity with a response to a random topic buried somwhere in the 200 odd topic pages, it's also interesting to find the earliest post listed and then reply for an update / progress... too many topics just end prematurely after they hit the dreaded page 3 and are lost and forgotten. new perspectives on old topics intrigue me[C):-)]
please note - true to form, I read the first entry here, made the above reply, then read the other entries, thus realizing how popular page 3 is...I see your page 3, and raise you to page 4, in order to validate / currentify (sp ? [:D]) my reply here... cheers all - truth be known I probably use Lopo, Fergie, deshane, the BigBoys, Bill M., eriediamond, and several others as a measuring stick of topics that I will weigh in on ...[^][^][^][^][^][:D][^], after all, what do I know ???[bow]

cheers, krump

[;)]
I generally go back 3-4 pages to check things out.
Usually depends on my mood & how much time I have to surf.

I start at the begining and read almost every topic going 3 pages back.

I only do the MR forum. Generally I scan the latest entrys and go to the topics that "Thwaps my magic Twanger, Froggy"! If nothing does this, and I have time I may go to the next few pages. Otherwise I do something else.

when time is on my side I sometimes go to the last pages and scroll backward, there are lots of questions askeed now. that were around 3 years ago, big difference is in the number of views and replies.

I hate to admit it but it took me all day before it dawned on me what in the world you were talking about. Yeh page three is a good page to go to ( before 1 or 2)[:p]

I always check the first two pages of the CTT, MR and Trains forums every day. Every once in a while I also check out the Classic Trains and trains.com forums, since there isn't much activity there.

Yes, primarily because I surf several forums (or fora), and I'm of the opinion that it is jungle rules, with the survival of the fitest posts staking claim to Pg1.

Unfortunately, about half of these "fitest" posts are not necessarily the most informative or humorous posts (I like both); and they are usually some sort of trite poll or nonhumorous fluff.

If I offended anyone, you are probably yourself guilty of writing fluff. I have more than my share of fluff moments too so don't feel bad.

I've started using the active topic button, which can be set for different lengths of time. I usually keep it set for 12 hours, but then I'm here a lot. The thing about the active topic button is that it shows all of the forums.

Depends Fergie, Some times I just view the first page, but may go back to check on a posting I made a reply on. Sometimes I just drop in to see whats going on and never go beyond the first page. Depends on the mood I'm in.

I generally look at all the topics back to the last one I remember form my last visit.

BTW, you seem awfully curious tonight. Just how many glasses of wine have you had? [:o)]

It depends. If I have been here within the past day, then I read the first page, unless the new topics extend onto the second. If I have not been here recently, I look and all the threads until I see where I last posted or I get tired of reading, whichever comes first.

When you drop in do you read the first twenty threads or do yougo back until your last posting?
