I don't have any BLI products right now, but it's good to here they stand by there products, I'm sure I'll be getting something from them soon.

I had some parts missing from an E unit, BLI said they were getting low but to describe which parts I needed.  I simply took a picture of the same parts, still on the sprue, from another BLI E unit and emailed it to them.  A week later, the missing parts arrived free of cost.

For what BLI lacks in quality control they make up in customer services!  I have first hand knowledge. They have sent me parts when need, and fixed engines that where out of warranty at no charge.

Had my Y6b repaired at cost just after Christmas, and it was very reasonable.  Soon after it was returned, the front engine began to stop while the rear continued to be gear driven.  Called it in, they agreed to let my repair guy take a look, and included detailed instructions.  We suspected the snap cover for the gear tower, and that was the problem.  Fixed.  Then, I notice that the engine had no number plate on the smokebox, and they sent me a replacement, no charge.  Then I realized (okay, I'm not very observant!) that the left side reverser linkage for the front engine was missing.  I now have it ready to install, no charge.

BLI doesn't always get it right if you go by some hot posts on their forum, but they do continue to try to come good.  It just takes patience and good will.  They have a lot of the latter as I see it.

Always good to hear good customer service stories.  I have 4 BLI loco's and it's good to hear they stand by their product.

I have heard that from others but it's still great to hear as I have several of their items and service is always an important issue.

Proto "used" to be that way, just call them and tell them what the problem was and they'd ship you a new part postpaid and 100% free but since they now have new owners that doesn't happen anymore, just try to get some replacement axle gears from them!! Thankfully the axle gears from Athearn will work just as well and although they have to be purchased I feel it's well worth the money to "know" I have good quality gear to replace the old ones.

2 thumbs up for Broadway!!!!

A friend of mine asked me to take a look at his 12-car set of BLI California Zephyr cars recently.  He has had problems getting them to stay on the track, so I agreed to take a look at them for him.  I found that most of the wheelsets were out of gauge (narrow) significantly enough to cause the problem.  I contacted BLI by email and talked to Mark, who informed me that these were probably from the first run where they had a batch that came with the wheelsets out of gauge, just as I had described.  He also informed me that this is considered a warranty job, so all I needed to do was let him know how many truck assemblies I'd need, and he'd get them in the mail to me.  I emailed him back yesterday with the number, and I got an email this morning letting me know that my order has shipped, and that the total cost to me (and my friend) was $0.00.

Kudos to BLI for standing behind their merchandise, even after all this time!
