Holder for DCC Throttles
Posted by trainman60 on Friday, June 18, 2004 1:35 PM
I am looking for a holder for walk around DCC Throttles. I am using computer mouse holders and need to have some more. Any ideas on where I can find some for a decent price. If not do you have any alternatives that might work instead of mouse holders.[:)]

At our local modular club, we hang them on the plexiglas that runs along the fron tof the layout as an "oops" guard (it also keeps little fingers away at open houses). Anyway, to hang them on the plexiglas, all you need to do is cement a bit of larger "C" channel on the back so the opening is down... [;)]

Works well. Either that or we stuff them in our apron pockets, along with uncoupling tools, car cards, and other miscellaneous junk...

I've seen quite a few, but the one I like best are the cel phone stud and clip set -ups. Installing the stud side on the back of the throttles and the "female" clips on the fascia,,,,,works great !!

We tried that once, but after about 2 weekend shows, it stopped gripping to well, and either detached from its other half and let the throttle fall OR it stopped sticking so well to the hard plastic on the backs of the throttles.[V]

Thats one reason why we went to the cell phone mounts[;)]

Cody, I don't mean to sound, well, mean, but would you please stop to just post 'hi' everywhere? Just today I think you have posted 'hi' on about 10 different topics... it just brings posts forward with, well no good new info, and if you want to say hi, I suggest just writing a post about yourself in the coffee shop topic.
