"I like my Pullman Standards & Budds in Stainless Steel flavors, thank you!"
QUOTE: Originally posted by AntonioFP45 Have to confess that this past year, I've spent so much time daily on this forum since January 04 that it cut into my actual modeling time. I'm talking 2 to 4 hours a day or evening! This is why I have well over 1,000 posts. [:0][:p] Nothing to do with trying to acquire stars ( In fact, I wi***he darn things were eliminated!) But I've often been eager in posting questions and posting responses to people that I think would benefit from my comments or info. I can't complain as it's my fault, nobody elses and I've had a good time. [:D][8D][;)] Part of my "obsession" has been that as a model railroader I have two close friends that I share the hobby with, but because of work and community activities, I seldom get to see them. [C):-)][C=:-)][4:-] Like many of you, I get to "talk trains" here and feel very comfortable about it ! Difficult to do that at work or school! My wife, though patient and supportive, doesn't know what a GG1 or an F40PH is, but most of you all do! However, being flamed recently "woke me up" [:0][8)] as I had not even realized that I was becoming repititious in some of my responses to fellow modelers. The jolt from Dgoodlander made me realize that spending too much time here cut in to quality time with my family and my MODELING time. BTW: Dgoodlander and I are o.k. On the home front I stll have: [1] locomotives to re-motor, bodies to detail (including see thru fans & grills) [2] P2K E7s to strip and repaint, [3] E&B New Haven passenger cars to assemble, [4] Passenger car interiors to paint and install lighting, [5] Freight cars to repair! [6] Figures to paint [7] Layout planning to finish I've let myself become sidetracked. I'm not leaving this forum, no way! Nor am I joining any other forum. I keep reading so much "hype" about the Atlas forum but I've been very happy here. Info here has been outstanding and has saved me from making mistakes with my rolling stock as well as purchases. I will still visit and post but I'm cutting my time back to 10 minutes a day. I want to say a special thank you to: Jfugate, NHRRJET, ErieDiamond, Dgoodlander, BentnoseWillie, Dave9999, BigBoy4005, Son of BBSky (Grayhound Challenger), Cacole, M636C, Bill Matthewson, Don Gibson, and the rest of you all. Keep encouraging each other and put out any "sparks" before they turn into flames, guys. If you do join Atlas, don't neglect your home here! A home is what you make it! [:)][:D][8D][8)][4:-)][C=:-)][C):-)][tup] I won't be here as often, but I'll still be checking in! God Bless!
Brought to you by the letters C.P.R. as well as D&H!
