Well, here's where these sorts of forums get fun...

Noah, I paint semi-professionally, and I basically ONLY use Krylon dullcoat! I've used it over Champ, Microscale, Greg Komar, CDS and other decals, and have yet to have any melt! I prefer both the finish and the COST of Krylon clear flat finish over Testors dullcoat.

If anyone has any doubts, give it a try.

to apply decals u should spray a gloss coat on then when dry add decals and then when decals are dry spray a dull clear coat on, this will give unit a faded-weathered look. You may also need some micro-sol. When applying decals you might get some bubbleing, use a brush and apply to decal rite after you put decal on, then when dry if you still have bubbles use a sharp and pointed xacto knife, poke a small hole in bubble and apply micro-sol, bubble will shrink up. Thats how I do it, maybe somebody will have a different way. have fun. Randy

Ist time putting decals on..any suggestions. I assembled a couple of pieces on my intermodal layout....container crane and the mi-jack lift. they both have decals. Also plan on repainting a couple of locos to add the to csx shed... Any suggestions would be appreciated.thanks
