Problems are weight and current pick up. I've seen them and I'm happy with my own critter.

Come to us http://www.westportterminal.de my videos my blog
I got one and I'm very disappointed in it. Mine will not even go around my test tract on its own, let alone pull any car or cars. It will look okay as a static display I suppose. For what I paid, mine turned out to be a poor investment.

wholeman Seeing the thread with the video of the real Trackmobile in action. I was wondering what people's opinions are on the BLI Trackmobile. I would like to buy one when they release some more. Thanks in advance.

By all means, grab one. They are well worth it. Of the few issues is that they have a tiny wheelbase tht hinders power pickup, you'll need to toggle some CVs. In hindsight, I'd have grabbed a DC one, as I wanted to add lights to the thing, and have no idea where to hooktoo The provided NCE decoder says it'll do it, but there's no place on the board that screams PUT FUNCTION WIRES HERE.I need to get a picture into the elcetronics forum, I'll do that now.
I know on e guy did an awesome job with adding light to a DC model he DCC'd. And you'll wanna put a real coupler on the thing, the dummy just don't work well. Remember too, just cause the Protoype can pull 50 cars, does not mean they do. The HO model is limited to 6-8 cars, which is right at home for the Trackmobile.
