Beating the bushes!!
Posted by Anonymous on Sunday, June 13, 2004 10:48 PM
Hi Gang
I was hoping I could enlist the aid of the forum group to help me beat the bushes to find a certain model. I am looking for a discontinued Walthers kit. Maryland Midland 100 ton covered cement hopper, Walthers # 932-5407. The prototype was built by Trinity. Not only did Walthers do a run of this car, but Mainline Hobbies in Blue Ridge Summit PA also did a run of this car with a different number. MMID has rostered 200 of these cars, and I am trying to recreate a nice ling string of hoppers, but so far have only been able to lay my hands on about 18 of them.
If you all can check your LHS, and let me know if you find any, please let me know. It would be greatly appreciated!![^][^][^][^][^]

I'll keep my eyes open at the train show this weekend. With 515+ tables, there might be one or two.

Thanks for the suggestion,[:D] but I have had ebay set to auto search for anything Maryland Midland for over 2 years now. Once in a while a car comes up, but not very often.[V]

Bummer about the lack of your road name on Ebay. I'm sure you have thought of this but I suppose that you could buy Undecorated cars and paint and decal them for the Maryland Midland...Heres a link to some on Ebay currently:

I look around next time I'm at the LHS.

No luck at the show (though I found a few things I was looking for!). Sorry.
