They were absorbed by Athearn.

I think these locos are some of the best quality out there. I currently have two and the best thing about these beside the smooth running is the detail of the loco. I recently changd the paint scheme from northern pacific to norfolk southern and everything is so easy to take off and put back on the loco such as exhaust stacks, fuel tanks, mu cables and so.

You can't go wrong with these units.

You bought it and hopefully you like it, that should be good enough. Since Tower 55 is the plastic side of the importers of the best brass HO locos out there it should be as good as or better than  Kato, Athearn or Atlas

HO Scale Tower 55 Locomotives

Hello All,

Can someone give me a list of the positives and negatives of the Tower 55 Locomotives?  I recently purchased one at a reasonable price but I would like some additional information to justify my purchase.  Any help would be appreciated.

P.S. The locomotive I purchased was the HO Scale BNSF ES4400 in the Pumpkin Colour Scheme.

Thanks,

 Nad
