Would be best to pickup a layout book. The Atlas layout books are around $5. Good books

Take a look at the Atlas website at www.atlasrr.com for both layouts and to download their Right Track software. The track planning software download is free.
While you're there, check out the N scale forum. Its a great place to ask questions specific to N scale. You'll find many experienced N modelers that are willing to share what they know.
