Ultimate Uncoupler
Posted by Anonymous on Wednesday, June 2, 2004 10:22 AM

I saved the article from the January 2000 MR on building this uncoupler and now want to build some. Apparently Digi-Key has changed their part numbers since then. Anyone know what the specs for the diode is, and what purpose does it serve?

Jim,

Digikey has a fantastic search engine on their website (I use it every day!). Punch in the diode's number and the site will either bring up the matching part or suggest substitutes. If the site doesn't do either, give them a call and ask for help from a real person. They'll find what you're looking for.

Yes.....did that and it returned a dozen matches. The closest being a 1 amp 100 volt rectifier.

Thanks
