There are writeups in the file sections of Rick Bell's Yahoo group on how to disassemble the loco. It is not an easy job. They are notorious for having the black and red wires break.

Thank you.  It is exactly what I need.  Now for the courage to disassemble it.  Unfortunately, it is the red wire from the track that came loose.  From the drawing, it looks like I will have to take it almost completely apart to solder the wire.  YIKES!

Thanks again.

Instructions for Athearn 2-8-2

A wire came loose in a friend's Athearn Genesis 2-8-2 manufactured by Samhonosa.  Before I blindly start disassembling it I would like to see the instructions.  Could anyone out there scan and email a copy to me?  Or photo copy and snail mail it to me?
