it was an old soo line, its my only engine at the moment thats why i'm upset, but i dont care that much i'm going to buy a new one but i'm still going to try to fix it up. the moter is fine i know that much, but something bend in the back of my wheels i'll see if u can rebend them, or go to the hobby store and ask for help there i'm sure they will have some idea what to do.

I had this happen to me a few times over the years. I just can't seem to learn not to leave rolling stock in work areas. If the wheels are damaged you might find new wheel sets from NWSL depending on the brand of the lococmotive. I would check to see if the problem is in the moter ,I had unit that got dropped about 2 ft to the bench and it knocked the moter brushes out of line. I took me a while to find this. If the drive is to messed up you could just make the unit a dummy.
One thing that you can do is take the drive apart and check for any broken gears.
Then you should assemble the drive one part at a time and check for binds.

What brand is your locomotive and what type is it? If it fell hard on the floor you'll have to check your truck gears and motor carefully. Something may be bent, cracked, or binding.

Metro is correct, however, one problem: Just a decade ago, many LHS's were "overflowing" with Athearn parts. Today, many of them stock much fewer Athearn parts as this manufacturer seems to have deliberately cut down its parts production over the past 3 to 4 years.

Don't forget to check hobby shops for news of swap meets and train shows. Depending on what you have, you may find a similar "used" locomotive which you can "gut for parts".

If it's an Athearn you're not in too bad shape, your LHS may stock parts and it will only cost you a few bucks to get fixed up.

ahhh train fell off the table was working on my layout and had something on the tracks, before u know it the engine was in peaces on the floor. i put it back together but the train wont run the same now, the back wheels are like messed up, and it can't move
