I finally dug mine out but when the computer crashed I lost the address of the guy who wanted the info and pics of these rare items. I think it was Tim who wrote the Athearn Collectors book. These are from 1956 and really they only cost $.50 I still have unbuilt kits and at todays prices to me there "PRICELESS"

Hey, I've got one of these packed away unbuilt in my basement. I picked it up "somewhere", probably at a swap meet, a few years back.

Ya mean it's RARE and $$$$? How much?

I probably paid 3-5 bucks or so...

Last set I sold went to a collector in Ill for $150 all unbuilt and in orginal boxes.
Have lots of coaches but the domes are very hard to find followed by the Obs and Bag cars. F-7 A&B are easy to find

What you did was to send in the yellow panel from Carnation Instant Chocolate Drink and $.50 and you could pick a car or Diesel A or B. $.75 for the Dome or Obs car. These are the old flat kits that were Athearn's very first production in plastic. Offer expired in Dec 1956 !!!!
