Boy, some people have all the luck. Here it is Friday, Oct. 30th and my copy of MRR has not arrived and the mail delivery has been and gone already. The only thing that I got was a bunch of junk mail flyers. "She who must be obeyed" at least got a baby shower invite from my brothers wife for another grandchild on the way. One good thing however. NO BILLS showed up. "And that's a good thing", as Martha Stewart would say.

However, on the positive side, my copy of GMR arrived more than a week and a half ago.

Flamer, what's a model railroader doing watching Martha Stewart?

That's what "She who must be obeyed" watches all the time and I can sometimes hear the TV from where I work on the RR. She also watches a few of the Judge Judy type shows. Personally, I would just as soon watch paint dry as watch that drivel. On the other hand, she doesn't interfere with my model railroading so who am I to interfere with what she watches on her TV. I usually have some low background music on to keep me company while I work on the RR or read.

I received RMC, Scale Rail and MR all within two or three days.  RMC being the first is very unusual.

I only subscribe to MR and Classic Trains and they almost always arrive together. However, since CT is a quarterly publication and I never remember which month it is due, it is always a pleasant surprise. This time, the surprise got ruined when I saw the latest edition of CT at my LHS the day before it arrived in my mailbox, but that meant a day of anticipating its arrival.

I've hit that jackpot before. Trains, MR, MRC, Classic Trains all on the same day. Don't know what to read first. Haven't been to the post office to pick up the mail today. Looking forward to tomorrow! Might be a little early though.

Train mags........ they all hit on the same day!!!
Posted by mobilman44 on Tuesday, October 27, 2009 6:20 PM

Hi!

The "mailperson" just arrived and left a stack of train mags!  In the box was the latest issue of Model Railroader, Trains, Classic Trains, Great Model Railroads, Walther's Monthly Flyer, and Scale Trains!!!!

Typically MR and Trains arrive on the same day, but having all these hit at once was really unusual!

Now if only RMC and the quarterly mags from the ATSF & IC Historical Societies would arrive, I'll be in "hog heaven"!

Hey, it doesn't take all that much to make me happy!!!

ENJOY,

Mobilman44
