Can't post a photo as the one I have is from an old RMC and is copyright protected. In 1969, EMD delivered a few diesels to the old Milwaukee Road, SDL39's! Weird looking isn't the word. They basically cut down a Geep and added three-motor, six wheel trucks. High, wide, and handsome they were! About four feet shorter than a GP-39 but with standard size cab, nose, radiator and fan but the long hood was much shorter. They actually worked quite well with a 2300HP V-12 hauling grain across the prairie, but light enough for branch lines. Gerry S.
