SP Archives?
Posted by Anonymous on Sunday, October 28, 2001 11:41 AM
I'm trying to locate plans, interior photos and anything else regarding a beautiful Southern Pacific depot which existed in downtown Berkeley CA from 1908 to 1938. At the time it was built, this station was considered a showcase station. It was featured in SP's Sunset magazine in Jan.1909. This station was in the Western Division of SP. Does anyone know where these archives might be?

Look on the left of this page, under "Groups". There you will see a category "Historical Societies". Click on it, then find the Historical Society for the SP. Almost all of these have message boards, and you are most likely to get a useful answer through that board.

Thanks, but I've already talked with them and they don't know either, although they did suggest trying to contact the Union Pacific museum which I'm doing---with no reply yet.
