Connecting to Trains. com
Posted by Anonymous on Friday, May 7, 2004 1:52 PM
I have been holding back commenting on connection ability.

I have a DSL, approx 1.2mbps and and alternative link to a T1 line, 1.5 gpbs

There have been many- many stall times in the last few weeks. I can get to Trains fast enough but I stall out when I click on the category or the specific topic/post .

Anybody else??

I have noticed a delay when choosing a topic to look at. I have a similar connection to yours. I have found that going to your options and selecting not to view signatures sometimes speed things up, especailly if the sig pic is somewhere slow...

same problem overhere,
allthough I have an 1024K cable connection.
could not discover any correlation to speed / topic / signatures
it was random.
FYI;: average US internet speed was low this week ! ( 300K )
