If considering any Rivarossi product, determine the after sales warranty service. In the case of the new release FEF-3(4-8-4 Nothern) according to the enclosed warranty card, the loco must be
returned to the Lima Shop(Parent of Rivariossi) in Italy.

I don't think any modeler deserves this kind of grief and I own two of them. TOO-TOO LATE!

The Big Boy is (was) also available at different brass manufactors like PFM.

And the Bowser Big Boy is a adapted Challenger kit! Mr. English, head of Bowser, wrote this at the website.
Some times you gotta compromise!

If you need a Big Boy for static displaying the Revell / Concor is the best!
In drawbarforce the best is the TRIX!!!

I have a rivarossi big boy and I LOVE it plus it is about half the price of a trix you can pick one up at gats show for 200 to 250 range. I got mine about 3 years ago i can't remember exactly what I paid but is a strong runner I took u.p. logos off and now I have atsf big boy woo hoo

Probably $695.00 + or so . Look for the ads in MR. There are cheaper manufacturers but Trix is the best if you got the $bucks. MR reviewed this model in April 02. I can mail
you a copy if you wish. Weighs in at 3 lbs. Will your track support it?
