Thanks! You guys wound me up and got me pointed ---- that's what I needed!

I've just ordered "The American Railroad Freight Car" and got all the other sites in my favorites file.

Again, thanks!

Clover House. It has been for sale for a couple years I believe. No takers yet.

Help!! I have an HO layout set in the early 1900's. I have a 1922 Car Builders Encyclopedia that has the required lettering guide for 1922.

What I need is a source guide for lettering about 10 years earlier ca 1910.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Clover House has a lot of dry transfer sets from that era as well.  He is on the net but I don't remember his address...

ALCOS4EVER

"The American Railroad Freight Car" by John H. White Jr. is an excellent book. It is right in your time frame. It is a paperback book the size of the Mahattan phonebook. Check it out.

Amazon has a few used versions. Starting at $38.00. That is how I obtained my book a year ago or so. You will get references to this book from Early Rail people.

Art Griffin has a lot of info for your era.

http://www.greatdecals.com/Griffin.htm

He also belongs to the below Yahoo Early Rail Groups. Both have a lot of information for the 1900 era.

Make sure to look in the Files, Photos, Links sections of those two groups if you join.

Thanks for any and all suggestions!
