Kato AC4400CW
Posted by 2059 on Monday, May 3, 2004 6:53 PM
A few weeks ago I purchased one of the Kato UP AC4400CW locomotives. The locomotive is awesome, but it isn't for me right now. When I tried to get the grab irons off the big sheet of plastic I had a really hard time. I'm not the best at doing that but I've never had this problem before with other Kato locos. So I only have grab irons on the front of the loco. All the other grab irons were ruined, they either bent or broke. Is there anyone who has encountered the same problem as me? Now I don't want to put anything else on the loco because that stuff will probably break or something as well.
If there is anyone out there who is interested in selling one of these UP locos assembled on Ebay please let me know I would be very interested. If anybody would like to at this time, my road number of choice would be 5727.

Tell Kato your problem !!!!!!!!!

The staff there is very helpful!
I have also three UP AC4400. I cut the handrails from the sprue with my XURON railnipper! And with a sharp Xacto blade I cut off the rests.

This works fine.
