Hi,
Just arrived at the board, I am UK citizen based in Austria and I recently got into DCC with a Roco starter and its just got plain out of hand now :-)
I am looking for other enthusiasts anywhere for the european trains, I have bachmann, liliput, roco rolling stock and would like to find people with the similar systems, I would opinions on running in bachmann series ESP, CV programming etc...
Thanks for any replies in advance
James

I model German N-scale, as well as US HO and British OO scales. http://mercurio.iet.unipi.it/pix/pix.html has loads of useful photos of various European locos - handy for figuring out what should run with what!
In my experience, Bachmann OO diesels are some of the best out there. I have four so far, all are superb. I'm amazed to hear about their HO scale range having quality problems, as their OO locos and coaches are, in the main, excellent. Their steamers are another story though - of the two I've bought, both had massively out-of-gauge wheelsets and needed adjustments to the quartering to make them run smoothly. One is still not quite right!
What are your experiences with the Roco DCC starter set by the way? I'm considering whether to buy one of these or the new cheap Bachmann DCC kit that's coming out soon!

Hi James,
As you can see European railroading doesn't get much action on this forum. I model Swiss meter gauge in Om scale, mainly using the now discontinued Roco AlpinLine stock. I use Digitrax DCC and am sold on this as a way to run trains, it's worth every dollar it cost me to go digital.
What are you modelling and in what scale? Will be happy to discuss things with you if you are so inclined.
Ben
