I like TCS because it has Back EMF "cruise control" which is helpful in a plastic engine, as they tend to be more affected by up and down grades. Also they have very clear instructions for programming the CV's.

IHC 4-6-2 HO - Basic decoder recommendation

My son has this loco and I need to get it over to DCC. I'm not leaning toward a Digitrax, NCE, TCS or any other decoder as I don't really know the difference. I'm currently running a NCE Powercab if that helps too. Sound may be in this engines future if that helps widdle down the choices. Thoughts?
