Never mind.

Mine would have to be the SOO LINE hockey stick paint scheme of the 70s & 80s. Followed by the ATSF & SP.

I had to go with other. For me it is a toss up between BN and MEC. Even though I model mostly BN.

My two favorites are in the "other": Québec Central white with green and orange stripes and Canadian American red and grey F40 scheme.

You can find pics of Québec Central locomotives on this site: http://qcr.groupetraq.com/locos.html

Come now, you can't limit it to a Line, each line's had several Schemes, some good and some bad. So saying I like SP scheme is obsurd, if I only like the Daylight Scheme and not the Black Widow or the Bloody Nose Schemes.

There are wonderful schemes out there, should list them by name, not line if you want an acurrate result.

This is one of the bad things about polls here, you are limited to a specific number of choices. It is very difficult to choose just one "favorite". I like so many of the older and fallen flag railroads and it is just too hard to choose just one.

You could list 100 railroad/color schemes and probally get a vote for each one. Can we choose the Favorite Top Ten, no never mind, I don't think I can do even that. [:0] How about the Top Twenty-Five? Well, I am not sure I can even do that. [B)]

I just like toooooooo many of the lost railroads. [;)] [:(] [V] [^]

My favorite scheme is the GDRM&MCo's Jet Streak Passenger scheme or the GDRM&MCo CNY2004 (Chop Nose Year 2004) Scheme.

Of the choices you've got listed, I voted IC. But my all-time favorite first generation scheme is the Wabash. I've even been tempted to stray from my beloved NKP by their PA's and F-units.

I'm a Seaboard Coast Line guy but for eye pleasing schemes, I really like the Santa Fe Warbonnet and the Rio Grande "Action Line" scheme (not in poll).

The choices offered are very attractive schemes. I would suggest adding a few more roads as well as defining the above schemes as some of these roads had several schemes througout the years---some attractive, some borderline drab.

For example: You could put GN-Sky Blueor GN-Pumpkin
ATSF-War Bonn.Blue/Yellowor ATSF-War Bonn. Red/Yellow

Cool poll, thanks!

I like UP Armor Yellow and the Espee Daylight schems the best. The ATSF Warbonnet and Blue Bonnet are great, too.

I will always model SP..I come from a long line of family members that work for SP...I remember as a kid going down to the East yard in San Antonio with my grandfather or my uncles and before they would go on their run would take me aboard the locomotives and let me blow the whistle...it was the most thrilling thing ever...I should say that I missed my calling because I've always wanted to work for the railroad but never was hired even after numerous attempts at job applications....modeling is the next best thing to being there....At least my uncles are impressed at my modeling skills...They used to come over and play with my trains when i used to live near them...
