Well why not it runs almost a week anyway right. Here are a few things I did this week.
This Ahm plymoth was remotored with a cv backshop heisler motor. It now sports a digitrax n scale decoder. Runs slow, smooth, and very quiet. It can now also pull over 10 cars no problem.
This is my Rs snow plow work in progress. It took forever to find a cheap gondola snowplow to steal from. I have bent wire brass railings, it will also get a horn and radio antenna and a fuel tank under the chasis. It will also have mu hoses on the long hood side where I custom built the pilot and rock crusher plow strip. There will possibly be some air tanks on the top as well. Have a great week everyone.

I have not had much railroad time because of other hobby projects; I just completed a work table for flame working glass beads. Does the design look familiar?
It is nice to know that L-girder benchwork translates to other projects! (Hopefully some railroad photos next time.)

How wide is your switch back area? Also how tall. This would go great along one wall that I have where I want to put a logging scene and do not want a helix to get there.

Terry how do you like your little engine? Sorry after a couple days last week I realized that the riv one only had 2 wheels for the driver and a regular tender truck instead of the loco wheels. Looks good though. How does it run? I just got a regular one in the mail. Motor was all seized up. Completely tore it apart and got it to run real smooth. It has the motor in the boiler and leaves the cab open with nice backhead detail. I originally bought it to fix another one that I had but they were not compatibale. So I just junked the other one into a rustbucket waiting for restoration from the local scenic railroad tour group.
Grampy, what can I say, If I can ever achieve half your quality of work I will be happy. Awesome work the last couple weeks? Are you completed with your layout or still building?
Another GREAT look WPF. I see the bar gets higher each week.
Well here's some shots of my weathered 2-bay hopper. It was a B&O, and now its a CSXT. Heres the list of things done:
New numbers/letters, faded, rust pits, dust/grime, weathered underneath, wheels, back of wheels, trucks all weathered, (hand made) cut-levers, Hi-Tech (unbreakable) rubber hoses, load spillage (real texture), weathered ends.
So..............Here's the shots!!!

As you might guess it's an awesome puller
Because of the height of the drivers on the tender
in a tight turn {18" Radius} the cab roof will rub
the top of the coal box on the tender
But other than that it runs fine
Sadly theres just no room for a decoder any where
But The guy that had this did a very good good on the kit bash

As I scrolled down the page, I went past the posters name & Avatar but as soon as I saw the picture knew that it was a "Grampy" shot. Your work looks almost to real to be a model. You are an inspiration to be sure.
Please, do not ever stop posting your pictures.
As for the rest of the posters to WPF, thank you, well done and keep up the good work. The improvements over the months are very noticeable.

The switch back is 16" deep by 12" high. The length of scene is 8' long. I have attached another shot but excuse the sky as I had just touched up.

Nice. I may have to make one of those. As to decoders, Have you looked at the Z decoders? I'm wondering if you couldn't sneak one under the Boiler and a sond in the cab. I'm wondering how effective an engine like that would be?

I love having a skylight in my room because I can get absolutely perfect lgihting effects. i had my ceiling fan light on as well, so there was a bit more light than outside. I weathered the covered hoppers over the past few days.
The camera was dying towards the end, so I had to rush a little bit.

Here's the result of a couple weeks of work. Parent company NYC excercises trackage rights over the NYB&W. A westbound priority freight with an F7A/B works upgrade past the Sunset Drive-in near the NY/NJ state line while on the opposite track, an E8A/E7B lead eastbound mail and express Train 28 toward the tunnel portal.
Later that evening as dusk settles, the earlybirds begin arriving for the double feature, High Noon followed by Pony Express.
