IVRWThat is the first video of it that I have seen that is not in german. Is it not ironic that in WW2 the Germans were our enemies, now they are our Allies? No. Modeling associates.
With all due respect - I suggest that you stick to model railroading subjects, instead of pontificating about history.

tatansAllegheny2-6-6-6 Nothing short of incredible, I heard about that layout about 5 years a go but never imagined it was anything like that. I wonder how much air fare to Germany runs these days? You can get over there for $90.00 but it's the $400.00 per night for a hotel room and $60.00 for breakfast that cuts into your budget.

Interesting. How does one get there for $90.00?

Ah yes.... My dream layout. I've snooped around their website a few times. The waterway system is amazing. I believe I read that the ships are all completely self contained. They use battery power and propell themselves through the waterways, as well as steer. I think they follow a infrared light path thats projected from the ceiling. Truely some amazing acomplishments there.
Hi,
great video. Every time I see another video on this be it on youtube or their web site I am always amazed at the layout. If anyone plans on traveling over there use Mapquest to get your routes. Here is the web address: http://www.mapquest.de/mq/maps/countryMap.do . Hope it helps.
