I am looking to build my deisels out of kits but have
no idea who makes unassemabled engine kits
my engines the u30c,sd40 snoot nose
pa1,pb1, F7, F7b. I also need to know where
to get power and dummy trucks if not included
in the kit.
I realy think it would be alot of fun to paint my
own locomotives and build them.

Realistically, the only HO scale diesel KITS available are the series of Highliner F unit shells (sold decorated and powered by Athearn in their Genesis line). All other diesels come either full assembled or with a VERY small number of detail parts to be added (with some exceptions: Grandt line makes a HO/On30 boxcab, and Roundhouse makes an HO boxcab).
Most diesel models come in undecorated, which you can paint yourself. In addition, diesel detail parts are widely available, and you can spend hundreds of house superdetailing and kitbashing a stock diesel into something more protypically correct.
Finally, Cannon & Co. makes diesel "parts": doors, cabs, vents, louvers, etc. Some hardy modelers use these pieces and scratchbuild their own diesels. You can always go this route!
