Athearn Maxi I-check the E car

Not a bash!!!!

I bought a baker's dozen of these HO Masterpieces, just discovered the m/f ends are switched on one of the E cars. The Vent Valve goes at the "male" end (with the truck attached) on the "early" versions. It's an easy fix with a small Phillips and an Exacto knife. The articulated couplers and weights are 1 piece, unscrew and pull straight out (or you'll break the post that the screw goes in). There are angle braces on the inner walls that have to be removed/re-glued or cut back.

I first noticed the piping on the side that was supposed to be plain. This was stock#95045, TTX/BN #73027, my RCBX versions are right. The BNSF "Wedge" and Northwest Container later versions are probably the nicest rolling stock that I have ever bought in 30 years with the hobby. Please don't fire someone in China over this!!!

Mine doesn't move.......it's at the station!!!
