I can still find all my old posts. Maybe there was a glitch in the system?

Edit: Apparently, I've been a victim of System Error ID10T.

I thought I deleted this. And now I find I can't.

I'm pretty sure the trouble on MY end is what Andre is talking about, somehow my setting got re-adjusted and its only letting access back 3 months.

Been looking for that "options" button he mentioned but for the life of me I can't find it on this computer, will try again later on a different computer.

Nevermind, tried something.. it worked - found button. lets see if this works

What the heck happened, I lost ALL of my building logs and and ALL of my layout progress posts

Was this a planned deletion??? A little for-warning would have been nice to me and others could have bumped one or two of our topics to save them.

Someone at Kalmbach owes an explaination

I don't believe Kalmbach is/was responsible to maintain your personal logs and layout progress posts. That is your responsibility and something you shoud manage, as in your own website.

Since we are not paying for the privlidge to post on this forum, Kalmbach doesn't owe you anything.

How old are the last post on those "favorite places" ?

I had a link on a subject to an older "how to" post and it comes up as being "page does not exist" now. So maybe you favorites have been updated to after that 11/9/08 cut off date

Is it possible something in my settings is limiting the number of posts I can access?

Back to 2006 when I joined MRR site here.

Bapou

At the bottom of the threads list there is a button "more options" Click on that and then change the date filter.

Of course you know that this information was on a strictly need to know basis and now that we've told him, we're going to have to ............Whistling

Well, you know.

I wish they would put the menu bar:

Trains.com Forums » Model Railroader Forums » Electronics and DCC » Configuring CVs

Back on the bottom of the page.  It used to be on both the top and bottom, now it's only at the top.

Yes. Go to the bottom of the page where you see the "More Options" bar. Press it. It will bring up a "Sorting And Notification" window. In the Date option, choose "Show All".

Anyone notice EVERY post before 11-9-2008 is gone-gone-gone!!!

No, I just went out and read a bunch of posts from November 2004.   What are you doing or seeing that tells you this?

I have AOL.

I save a link to any page on the MRR forum to my "favorite places" for any category {layout ideas, electrical tips, scenery ideas, etc} of the MRR forum pages I deem necessary to retrieve sometime in the future.

ALL of my save page links are there, and in the new format.

SO, SOMEWHERE the older pages are all there, here or somewhere!

...on ALL forums, from Garden Rail to CTT to Trains

What the heck happened, I lost ALL of my building logs and and ALL of my layout progress posts

Did we just lose a huge amount of made this forum so good? Namely the database in the older posts?

Was this a planned deletion??? A little for-warning would have been nice to me and others could have bumped one or two of our topics to save them.
