If my work had looked like that after only 4 months in the hobby I would have been dancing a jig in the layout room.

Nice work! You're going to be doing fabulous work after a few years in the hobby with a start like this!

(Here's what my work looks like after 37 years (!) in the hobby ...)

Thanks for the Wow! I used Woodland Scenic ground cover, foam, clump foilage, and the green fuzzy stuff by WS, I do not remeber what it is called! I'm trying to take some more pictures to show my culvert detail, but I'm no photographer.

Sorry, I forgot the vital stats:
HO Scale
Size- 4'X14"
Atlas Code 83 flex track-painted and weathered
Woodland scenics medium gray ballast
Woodland scenics trees-the kind you make by hand
Cork road bed
Four layers of one inch blue foam
The S-3 is P2K
The building in the background is a DPM-A dry goods store

What did I miss?

If you live near Michigan. You should come visit the MR clubs layout. We have some info on ARR. On the second floor of them museum ther is a room dedicated to ARR and GT. The guys that are in there know or even worked for GT and/or ARR

It looks really neat Craig, and nice detail on the stripes of the locomotive. Just curious, what scale is it?

I have been a railfan/modeler since January of this year. With all of your help and advice, I have finished a static display of an Ann Arbor S-3 and some AA rolling stock a well. I look forward to building a model railway when time/space limitations permit.

Thanks-Craig
