Coaling Tower Search....
Posted by Anonymous on Monday, April 5, 2004 8:37 AM
Hi All

I have been searching for either a kit or plans for a particular style of coaling tower. The tower has the coal delivery track under the tower and the loco service chute out of the side.

I have found a photo of one that fits the exact requirement. It is on *** Elwell's Hoosac Valley RR:

Would anyone know how I would contact *** to ask him where it came from?

Other than that, would anyone know of a lit or plans that would suit my needs.

Cheers
Bruce

That modle looks to be scratchbuilt. You can achieve the same effect with any coal dock (the "real RR" term for these things) by a simple kitbash. If you want a model that looks a lot like Mr. Elwell's, use the Model Power kit # 410
