I use a piece of cork roadbed material or a piece of cork for a bulletin board to apply a thin film of B;ue Magic cream metal polish to the railheads. Once the polish is dry I use more cork to buff it off. A wipe with a clean dry cloth will remove any polish dust that remains on the rails.

What do you use to apply the metal polish to the rails?  And how do you remove the polish?

I need to re-gleam my track and do not want to use a towel unless I have to.  What do you use to apply the polish and take it off?

Thanks,

Bill
