Walthers 20th Century Sleeper Issue
Posted by donny2001 on Thursday, January 1, 2009 10:18 PM

Hello,

I finally took my Walthers 20th Century Sleeper out of the box tonight.  It seems to have a wheel issue, and I didnt see anyone else post about it, so maybe I just have a defective one.

When I took it out of the box and ran it, it seemed as the wheels were almost seized, and it was running kind of jerky on the straights and derailing on the turns.  I added a little bit of lubricant, which seemed to improve it quite a bit, but its still not clearing my turns properly.  I attached it to a couple of other cars I have from Walthers that clear my 24in radius with no problems (Including the Hiawatha set, and auto carriers, and Flexi Vans :) ).  I even tried to loosen up the trucks a little bit same problem.

Anyone else have any suggestions?  Maybe run it to Walthers and see if they can add a replacement set of trucks?

Thank you in advance :)
