Fishbelly center sills

Anybody know a good way to keep the center sills on Red Caboose wood reefer kits square? I have built one before with the center sills a little off angle and I'll have to rebuild the floor now because that makes the wheels slide off the track[:(!]. I have another one unbuilt so I'd like to know a good technique for doing this other than relying on your sight and good judgement.

I am not exactly sure what the issue is here ... but one time honored way to keep two pieces of material (metal, plastic, whatever) exactly even is to use a "spacer" -- perhaps piece of strip wood between them -- hopefully it can be removed after glueing?

The other way is to build a very precise jig on a piece of masonite that would also involve spacers, so that the parts in question fall into a precise gap but perhaps can be glued from above.
Obviously your work here has to be very precise for this to work.

Thanks, that was what I sort of had an idea of doing but I did not know how to build a spacer.
