Wanted Caboose
Posted by FRITSCHSR on Thursday, April 1, 2004 11:26 PM
I would like to purchase a caboose to put a layout in. Does anyone have any
idea where to get one? I have my own trucks so transporting would not be
an issue. Preferably in Pa, Ohio or western Ny.

Wouldn't you know it, just in the past day or two I discovered a web site for an outfit that gets and sell rail cars. I didn't have any reason to save it, though. Sorry.

There is an email list at Yahoo Groups called RRcaboose you may be interested in joining and ask there. I originally joined for modeling purposes but it seems to be only for discussion and locations on prototype cabooses. Anyway, the group's website is at:

Check it out if you're interested.

A quick search resulted in the following site:
http://www.st-enterprises.com/heavyequipment.htm

So if you keep looking, i'm sure you'll find one a bit closer than washington state.
