lvanhen Thanks a million for the link!!!!!! When you realize he died so long ago, and almost all of the layout was scratch built - buildings - rolling stock - loco's, and all the materials were "primative" (green sawdust for grass etc.) it's amazing (like the guy on amazing trains says!) This is one of the best Christmas/train videos I've ever seen!!

It makes you realize that good model railroading never really dies do long as there are pictures and groups to keep the memories alive.

Where is that site? I would love to see it!
Thanks

Yes, I got it on an e-mail several days ago from the John Allen Group. It's amazing, astonishing and really GREAT! I've viewed it several times and each time I get a nice, warm grin going.

Have you all found the wonderful Christmas card from John Allen with all the pics of the G&D and the old pics of him.? I found it on the G&D yahoo group. I would pass it on to you if someone could tell me it was not infringing on a copyright that group may have. It was wonderful for an old G&D fan. There were more good pics than any place I had see before.
I don't know how to make these active, but I think if you copy and paste you will see more of the G&D than I knew existed. Enjoy.
