By saying that you are running Digitrax, I am assuming you are in a DCC operation. With a turntable and DCC is sounds like you are running into a polarity issue with the turntable track vs the mainline. I wired in a reversing module to the turntable track wiring and it solved my problems with shorts.

I recently installed a walthers 90' turntable on my layout, it turned out to be a mistake but,,,, My question is that after wiring the turntable track (runnng Digitrax) I found that when I turn an engine and want to leave the turntable the track shorts out. Does anyone have any suggestions??
