APRIL WHAT??? Ya mean I,ve made several trips to the post office to see if that train driver school offer has gotten here and and and and and and and ---- awhh, never mind, I'd have probably not done well with it anyway. If Walmart wo'nt let ya park a truck there to shop, they sure ain't going to let no train park there either.

Does Walmart sell depleted uranium? Could use some to weight those open top cars ... always looking for ways to cram more weight in.
Ought to make the op sessions where we simulate night running more interesting ... say, what's that errie green glow coming from the train room?

Maybe they plan to use the SD1000X for the newly proposed Trans-Atlantic passenger rail system.

I also read that Sec Mineta approved the first test of a hybrid nuclear powered locomotive: The EMD SD1000X. It will deliver 25,000 horsepower (1.21 gigawatts) and feature depleted Uranium couplers (for added strength).
An earlier hybrid locomotive featuring a "Mr. Fusion" prime mover failed its first demonstration as it disappeared after hitting 88 mph...

Ken,
Have they contacted you yet? I heard that they are giving OTR drivers first shot at train drivers school.

I read the same thing Snake. This ought to be interesting!! Especially, since I'm an OTR trucker and taking all that revenue away from the railroads.[:O][%-)][(-D]

Norman Y. Mineta - Secretary of Transportation released today that he was shutting down cross-country, long haul, trucking and air travel of less than 3,000 miles in an effort to re-vitalize the nations railroads.
