Take that one back and get a new one from where you bought it.
The store should be nice enough to at least get you a replacement.

I had a similar problem taking the dual headlights out of a Genesis F7. I managed to break one of them but I figured it was just my fat thumbs...They are really small and delicate.

Athearn Ditch Lights
Posted by tomnoy3 on Thursday, March 25, 2004 8:00 PM
Recently, Ive bought 3 Athearn Genesis SD70M. And while instaling the ditch lights to the first one, I had to "borrow" both lights from the second, and one from the third locomotive. One of the light bulbs broke just pulling it out of ditch light molds, and one of the bulb's wires was already broke from the base of the bulb when i opened the package. The other one, the wires broke when bending them the 90 degrees. So out of 6 light bulbs, only half of them didnt break. Has this happened to anyone else or was I just too impatient?
