Thanks to the Pepperell Siding club in Massachusetts
Posted by MisterBeasley on Tuesday, October 7, 2008 7:10 AM

The Pepperell Siding model railroad club in Pepperell, Massachusetts, had a show and open house this past weekend.  It was a very well-attended event, from what I could see.  The show was held in a local school, and the club (a mile or so away) was open for visitors as well.

For a show well out in the exurbs of Boston, this was pretty good.  There were a bunch of operating layouts, and even a live steam demo on a short track outside, with a bench-car behind for the kids to ride.  There were a few vendors, not a lot, but I wasn't in the market for much of anything so I didn't care.

This was my first visit to the club, and I must say I was impressed with their layout.  It's largely "finished," with great mountain scenery

It takes an iron man to play with a toy iron horse.
