Around here they come in vertical versions up to 100 gallons (about 4 feet tall plus a base and 3 feet diameter). The next size is a horizontal 250 gallon. Sorry no photo but I can take one if requested.

I guess you are talking about large propane tanks (storage & distribution). If so, this page may help as it includes photos, sizes, and (most important) diagrams of several vertical tanks (and horizontal ones too). http://hansontank.us/propanetanks.html
I guess you saw the Walthers Industrial tanks, http://www.walthers.com/exec/productinfo/933-3514 - The vertical tanks can be sanded down smooth (top and sides), and some styrene wrapped around the base, to give a reasonable approximation of a propane tank.
If you meant consumer sized propane tanks, such as
well, actually I'd like to know that myself... (I know JL Innovative has horizontal tanks, but not vertical ones).
What about... feminine hygene product applicators?
Also lots of small kids toys come in domed plastic containers. I am thinking of the toys inside Kinder eggs but those are likely too big as well.
Edit: Another idea...not as far fetched as the first one.
The caps to a lot of Roller pens have a dome top. For instance, Staedtler liquid rollerball ink pens.
I was thinking of the CO2 cylinders sold for paint ball/pellet guns/soda bottles, but they are about 3/4" dia by 2 1/2 " high - probably too big. Wander around you local Walmart - check out hobby & crafts, baby bottles etc, pharmacy supplies, cosmetic stuff. Every time I go there I see a dozen things that have model RR uses written all over them!!
Edit: Be sure to use/empty the cylinders first!!
What size tanks or bottles are you looking for?
In my experience (limited, I admit) bigger propane tanks (residence heating and larger) are horizontal dome-ended cylinders with fill, drain and safety fittings in the approximate center. The only vertical propane tanks I'm familiar with range from gas grill to welding bottle size.
There are several propane/LNG distributors in my vicinity, including one that had a spectacular fire not too long ago. All of their tanks, including the one that burned, are horizontal.
